SUSTAINABILITY PLAN “SAGLAMLİGA KHİDMAT” PUBLİC UNİON

This advocacy plan is designed to ensure that tuberculosis (TB) advocacy efforts in Azerbaijan continue to evolve and respond effectively to the needs of vulnerable populations, with a leading role played by civil society organizations, in particular “Sağlamlığa Xidmət” Public Union (SKPU). As a committed civil society organization, SKPU has made significant contributions to the fight against TB in Azerbaijan by successfully implementing multiple projects aimed at improving prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Guided by its mission to strengthen TB management nationwide, the organization works to expand access to high-quality TB and TB/HIV diagnostic, care, and treatment services through community-based and patient-centered support. Currently, SKPU brings together more than 20 active members and has directly reached and benefited over 1,000 individuals through its TB response projects. The advocacy plan focuses on raising awareness, influencing policy decisions, mobilizing resources, engaging communities, promoting equitable access to quality care, fostering research initiatives, and ensuring effective monitoring and accountability mechanisms. Its ultimate aim is to guarantee sustainability—so that advocacy efforts extend beyond the duration of the plan, creating long-term impact in TB control and supporting Azerbaijan’s public health priorities.
