This document was prepared by " Saglamliga Khidmat" Public Union within the project activities “Community Engagement Strategic Initiative Component 2a: Long-term capacity strengthening TB community networks and organizations” funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. Background This document outlines the internal policy and procedures of the “Sağlamlığa Khidmat” Public Union, designed to promote and safeguard gender equality within the organization. The policy has been developed in alignment with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the national Law on Guarantees of Gender Equality, and the principles discussed during consultations with civil society institutions on ensuring equality in recruitment processes. Promoting gender equality in the workplace is recognized as a fundamental human right. The Union is committed to ensuring that all individuals, regardless of gender, are provided with equal opportunities, fair treatment, and a supportive environment in which they can fully realize their professional potential. Ensuring gender equality is essential to the mission of “Sağlamlığa Khidmat” Public Union, as it strengthens inclusivity, enhances organizational effectiveness, and upholds fundamental human rights. Gender equality not only fosters fairness in recruitment and career advancement but also contributes to a more diverse and innovative workforce.
